Delivering Justice Working Party Report: Delivering Justice in Age of Austerity

Brunton recommends a  Tiered System where trained Registrars(who are Experienced Lawyers to  recent Law Graduates)  to  perform the Initial Case Management and Case Evaluation Roles  to see if a Case is meritorious.

He advocates the use of Mediation for Cases which have different Mediation Needs according to their type: Family, Land,  Welfare and so on.

If a Case is meritorious has complex Legislative and or Case Law or is a Test Case these could be passed onto Judges who would judge the Case in order to maximise on expensive Judicial Expertise.

Call Centres and Online Gateways could be used extensively except in SEND Cases and Cases where people need Services ”personally delivered”.

This is a very good Report gotten from John Cooper QC’s Twitter Page.

I commend it to  my Readers as another weapon in our armoury.
